Think of this Italian Feast a bit like a food and drink excursion or a dinner party at multiple venues. It’s a chance to meet like-minded food lovers, share stories and most of all eat some great scran. But it doesn’t stop there, throughout the night you can expect a little bit extra from each of the venues with appearances from the individuals behind the magic.
Tickets are incredibly limited as we don’t want to present as ‘a group’. We want an experience showcasing the beauty of the chosen venues without compromising quality for quantity - a genuine experience that is enjoyable for both staff and our table.
So why these venues?
Lady Libertine is the new venture from the Bon Vivant group and it’s interior is absolutely stunning. No detail has been missed in Edinburgh’s newest two storey venue with it unlike anything else on offer, it proves to be a key feature in the future of this beautiful city moving forward.
Not only is the venue dazzling, unsurprisingly the staff have put together an incredible food and beverage offering. While two levels with two separate personalities, we will be focused mainly on the ground floor.
The ground floor has recently launched aperitivo hour in their cafe-wine bar with a vast array of wine, sherry and tasty-tasty lower alcohol cocktails. Staff will walk us through our selected drinks and explain the concept of aperitivo - the perfect way to start the evening.
It’s also the perfect meeting spot being in the centre of town!
Pizzeria 1926 and Locanda de Gusti both share a special place in my heart. The food is incredible, genuinely Neapolitan and made with both love and flair but the heartbeat of these venues is the staff (Chef Rosario included).
Upbeat, knowledgable, attentive and often singing along to the atmospheric Neapolitan folk music in the background - it’s a dining experience like no other.
We will be treating Pizzeria 1926 as our ‘entree’ sharing a range of pizzas, drinking the house wine (it’s fantastic) and indulging in the more casual setting of the pizzeria setting.
From there we cross the road to Locanda and choose from a selection of main courses, indulge in fantastic red wine and wonder if we’ve actually been transported to the middle of Naples itself.
Chef Rosario Sartore has promised an appearance sometime during our stay once he has some time to get away from the kitchen - this could be the highlight of the evening!
So what do you get for the price?
- A chance to meet those behind the scenes of three fantastic venues.
- We will start the night with two aperitivo cocktails at Lady Libertine as we all get to know each other.
- Two taxis will then be organised to take the group to Pizzeria 1926.
- There we will share a range of traditional Neapolitan pizzas and wine.
- Across the road, at Locanda, we will each receive a main course and share sides.
- The menu is yet to be finalised as it changes regularly depending on what is available from their high-quality suppliers, but options will be finalised ahead of the date.

Dessert is not included as I’ve personally never had any room left after dining at these two venues.

Vegetarian and Pescetarian menus can be tailored if needed but due to the nature of the event, vegan options are just not possible.
